20 июня состоялся научный семинар, посвященный разработке перспективных методов прогнозирования последствий чрезвычайных ситуаций, в ходе которого с докладами выступили сотрудники ИПТМУ РАН и профессор Vellore Institute of Technology, доктор Ганапатхи (Dr. G.P. Ganapathy).

На семинаре доктор G.P. Ganapathy выступил с докладом о достижениях VIT University и возглавляемого им Центра в области наблюдения за землетрясениями и контролем их последствий. Сотрудники института к.т.н. Филимонюк Л.Ю. и к.ф.-м.н. Епифанов А.С. представили доклады о возможности применения фундаментальных математических методов исследования сложных дискретных систем к проблеме контроля последствий землетрясений и других чрезвычайных ситуаций природного и техногенного характера.

{:}{:en}On June 20, a scientific seminar was held devoted to the development of promising methods for mitigating the consequences of emergencies, during which presentations were made by the staff of IPMC RAS and Professor Vellore Institute of Technology, Dr. G.P. Ganapathy.

At the seminar Dr. Ganapathy made a presentation on the achievements of VIT University and its Center in the field of monitoring earthquakes and monitoring their consequences. Employees of the Institute Filimonuk L.Yu. and Epifanov A.S. presented reports on the possibility of applying fundamental mathematical methods for studying complex discrete systems to the problem of controlling the effects of earthquakes and other emergencies of a natural and technogenic nature.
